Before COVID-19, The Ticket Merchant’s primary acquisition channel was from international partnerships and travel agents.
However, the unprecedented impact of the pandemic across the entertainment and travel industries saw these channels lose their standing almost overnight.
The Ticket Merchant needed to urgently find a new customer acquisition strategy that would allow them to continue operating and servicing their customers during this difficult time. They pivoted to SEO as an acquisition source to counter the significant loss in leads due to unprecedented challenges.
We reviewed the entire website and developed a conversion-orientated keyword strategy for The Ticket Merchant.
This keyword strategy was designed to increase traffic to the website and generate more sales leads for the business.
The next step was to review and optimise all the existing content on The Ticket Merchant’s website. This involved rewriting and adding new content and ensuring that all the pages were optimised and aligned with the conversion-focused keyword strategy.
We developed a cluster-focused content strategy that focused on sporting events and analysis of matches (as most music concerts were unable to run during 2020 & 2021).
We developed a highly relevant sport and media publication-focused backlink strategy to drive highly relevant backlinks and keyword-centric anchor text links.
After 6 months of working together, The Ticket Merchant received a 46% increase in organic traffic and a 37% Increase in New Users from Organic Traffic.
